Circuit Action For Justice & Peace

Who Are We?

Circuit Action for Justice and Peace is the circuit group tasked with implementing the Circuit's mission policy for Justice & Peace issues; including being good neighbours to people in need, challenging injustice and raising issues of concern, locally, nationally and globally.

We are a mix of a virtual email community -- who can respond to requests for help/attendance at events and a smaller group of people who meet bi-monthly to explore how the Sheffield Circuit can respond to a variety of "social" issues. This is an open group and new members to our meeting are very welcome.

We promote awareness of issues happening across the city, including events put on by other groups such as Church Action on Poverty, Fair Trade and One Sheffield, Many Cultures. This is facilitated by a section in the fortnightly Circuit Newsletter and Circuit Facebook page.

From time to time, we organise meetings to raise awareness or enable discussion within the Circuit about issues related to Justice and Peace (e.g. overseas development; climate change; Israel/Palestine; ethical consumerism).

To join our mailing list or if you are interested in coming along to a meeting please contact Jenny Carpenter, Email: jennyc106@btinternet.com
