Our core values, as expressed in our Mission Policy include:
- the affirmation of the importance of wise and proper use of resources of people, property and finance
- recognition of those fragile pieces of work that need to be sustained as a mission priority
- giving attention to areas where new work should begin.
In order to be true to our mission we need to find out where our resources would be best placed. This will then inform our use of our Model Trust Funds, which is a tangible outworking of our vision for mission across the new circuit.
The Sheffield Circuit therefore envisages a holistic review process for every church within the the Circuit. We need to review the sustainability of all churches in terms of their engagement with Kingdom values in the context of their community and to look strategically at the wider picture in conjunction with ecumenical partners.
