Ideas for a more eco garden…small step improvements
At Trinity@Killamarsh we recently reviewed our silver eco status and found the criteria for the land section to have tightened and so we reflected what else we could do.
We already have various fruit bushes and share the crop with attendees at our coffee morning and free breakfast. Including plums, apples and pears.
But realising we needed to do more... we have created a log pile and bug hotels.
A larger hotel for the church garden, and an example of a smaller house for people to take home for their gardens.
We encourage the community to make use of our garden, and over the summer have displayed a JOYful sign to welcome folk in. Given the state of this summer, our next improvement will be a water butt!
