Mark Goodhand

I was born in Lowestoft, Suffolk. I am married to Jill who is a primary school teacher, and we have three daughters.
Having trained at Queens Ecumenical College Birmingham I have served in the Southend and Leigh, Wolstanton and Audley and Huntingdon, circuits, and as Superintendent of the former Sheffield Pilgrim Circuit. I have been involved in youth work and Sunday schools, including training people for leadership in those areas, and in oversight of probationer ministers.
Beyond the church two key areas for me have been an involvement in bereavement counselling and links with schools. My view of the Christian Church and it's Mission of being a sign of as well as creating the Kingdom of God, is rooted in my link as an associate member of the Iona Community.
Cooking, baking bread and transforming manse gardens keep me sane!

Mark oversees aspects of worship in the new circuit, including management of the preaching plan, preachers' and worship leaders' meetings, training of local preachers and worship leaders, and encouraging the development of contextual worship. Mark is also charged with managing the change process of the Circuit with an overview of staffing, finance, and property.
